GREAT NORTHERN HAMFEST – BARNSLEY RADIO RALLY-  SUNDAY 6th OCTOBER 2013 – 10.30am

There have been a few questions and apparently some confusion to readers of Radcom & PW with an advert stating that a similar sounding Rally was taking place in South Yorkshire. We would like to point out that this event has no affiliation with the The Great Northern Hamfest. The organisers of the event were approached when we became aware that their title was very close to the Great Northern Hamfest (enough to cause confusion to the wider public) and they gracefully ceased to use the title. We bring you this information to avoid any confusion that may arise and would like to point out that…..

The GREAT NORTHERN HAMFEST for Amateurs by Amateurs ! NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH ANY OTHER RALLY

The Great Northern HamFest has ran in Barnsley now for 22 very successful years.

We count success on the number of people we see and the friends old and new we meet and greet every year.

Details of user groups, charities, repeater groups, special interest groups, clubs and other attractions attending will follow over the next few months, in the run up to the HamFest.

Entrance fee for 2013 has been set at £3.50 on the door.
